Offerings include U.S. and international mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and funds specifically designed for variable insurance and annuity separate accounts. Furthermore, it manages institutional assets across traditional investment classes, separately and individually managed accounts, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), hedge funds, collective investment funds, and real estate/infrastructure funds. Established in 1894, the company was formerly known as American Express Financial Corporation before adopting the name Ameriprise Financial, Inc. in September 2005.
